GM03) KEEPING TRACK OF MOVEMENT
When you create a new group of characters, it will be positioned in the very first hexagon of the world map you have selected. The group will be shown as a transparent marker and you can move this marker around the map using the six direction arrows on the left of the screen. If the group moves out of the map, a new one will be loaded according to the group's position. Also if the group reaches the world boundaries, a message will display and no further movement in that direction will be allowed. Anyway, this is not the only way to move or to position the group marker on the map. It is also possible to move the group marker on any map tile right-clicking on an hexagon and selecting the "Set location" command in the pop-up menu that appears.
Sometimes it may happen that a group becomes lost. In these cases it is difficult to distinguish between the direction the group thinks it is moving towards and the direction the group is really moving towards. To overcome this problem, the Game Manager provides the "Random movement" button. When you click on it a label notifying that the group is lost becomes visible. From this point on, when you click on a direction arrow, the group won't necessarely move in that direction but in any of the six different directions. So, for instance, characters may think they are moving north, but are going north-west instead. To disable the goup is lost, just click again on the "Random movement" button and movement will be restored as regular.
With every movement, if a terrain description was previously entered in the Campaign Editor program, this description will be automatically displayed to the game master. Also, you can use the "Random encounter" button at any time, to generate a random creature based on the information entered in the Campaign Editor.
In some maps you may have assigned particular locations using the Campaign Editor. These locations may have a more detailed map and description. When the party or group reaches such location (i.e. a city, a dungeon, etc.) you can right-click on the hexagon the group is on and select the "Enter location" command, to load the map and description of the location. A location may have several maps and descriptions. If this is the case, a previous and next arrow will appear near the top of the screen to help you navigate through the various locations. To exit a location simply navigate back to the world map.
