RPG MANAGER 2.x SCREENSHOTS
NOTE:
For internet purpose all these images have been reduced in size of approximately 60%-70% their original dimensions.

This is a screenshot of the location editor. The editor will be square based with the possibility of creating angles of 45°. As with world maps, location maps will be multi-layered. I am currently working with different types of terrain styles/objects to see which ones look better. Graphics will include fantasy, modern or sci-fi tiles.
This is another study. Here I am working with a desert setting. I have been trying to create the effect of hills/dunes (the gray squares should rappresent slopes). Also, here you can see the inside of what appears to be a small abandoned temple. There is a secret area inside the temple.

This screenshot shows a comparison between maps created with RPG Manager 1.x and maps converted into the new format with RPG Manager 2.0. As you can see, the conversion is 100% accurate. World conversion will also include: descriptions, timetables, weather and random encounters.

This first screenshot shows the potential of the new engine. The left part of the screen is used for layers (up to four), the tilebar and the map preview. Tiles can be flipped or mirrored.
Look at the world map. Graphics have been greatly improved. See how you can have a river, a road and a bridge on the same tile. Look at how, at a certain point, the road is right next to the river, following it's path. Finally, scrollbars let you move around the map.

This screenshot shows another nice graphic aspect. Each terrain tile features 5 different graphic rapresentation styles. The terrain near the bottom of the screen is some sort of cold siberian plains south of an artic region. See how each terrain tile is slightly different from the one next to it. Of course you still have the choice to to use the same graphic rapresentation for each terrain. This screenshot also features icebergs.

This place is really hellish. Lava flows from a volcanic region, through miles of scorched plains. On the west side of the map it forms a huge lake of lava. A good place to build an infernal citadel of some powerful and terrific foe.

Finally this screenshot has it all: mountains and glaciers, hills, light and heavy forests, a lake and a small town. In the tilebar you can also see some other terrain types which have not been showed in a screenshot already: different types of sea, badlands, deserts and much more.
